I have adjusted the date for Ch. 16 so you can now do Launch Pad again for it. It was hidden in "Past Due Assignments." But I have also cancelled the Ch. 15 unintentional assignments for now (as well as some Ch. 16 written assignments). I have discovered how difficult it is to pull up and read all of those, so I am holding off assigning any more until I get these read. Any that you have already posted will receive credit…eventually! Please be patient as it will take me a while to read all of those. They will go on your 1st semester grade, though, and some will be used as Bonus work. The things that are going to be scored as required homework are Ch. 13-18 Learning Curve for sure. Also the written work from Ch. 13 and 14. For now, the Ch. 15 and 16 written work will either be cancelled or used as bonus (for those of you who did them by the original due date of 11/29 and 11/30). Thanks for your patience with this. I spent an hour on the phone with tech support sorting out why there were issues with due dates and unintentional assignments. More in class tomorrow.

I have been having issues with Launch Pad freezing while I was trying to unassign the unintentional assignments. For now, just do Ch. 17 reading and "Learning Curve" if it will work for you. Ch. 16 was not even showing up for me to check, so if isn't showing for you, don't worry.
Learning Curve has been assigned for ch. 8-15 for study purposes for the final, and for Ch. 16-18 for those quizzes. So if you can get those to work, then feel free to do those (LC). l will sort this out and update you tomorrow. Quiz Ch. 16
Quiz Results Ch. 15 Lecture: The Civil War (Sutton lecture) HW: Read Ch. 17, Quiz Fri. 12-4-15 Do the LP and LC questions and quiz online for Ch. 17 I just assigned all of Learning Curve (from now on referred to as "LC") from Ch. 8-18. Ch. 8-12 are bonus work, so any of that will be put in as extra credit, most likely in the HW category (I haven't decided yet). From Ch. 13 to 18 will ultimately be in the HW category as regular HW. And any other Launch Pad (from now on called "LP") work that I assign that is from ch. 8-12 will be bonus work.
Note: the final for the course will be the next "unit test" -- it will cover Ch. 8-15, that is, will go through Reconstruction. I will be lecturing on the Civil War and Reconstruction the week we get back. We may also go beyond those topics for lecture purposes, but the final will only cover those chapters so I can be sure we have discussed it thoroughly and review for it. Quizzes will continue over the other chapters as scheduled. We will get through Ch. 18 in the reading.
