Welcome to Husky History
This is your one-stop location to keep track of what you need to know for your U.S. History class with Ms. Sutton. Here you'll find units and work, syllabus, links to Q (the online student information system) so you and your parents can keep track of your grade, and links to historical sites and social networking sites that we use in class. You can also read a little about me and contact me if you have a question. See the yellow tabs above for links to the various places on my site.
About Ms. Sutton
I have been teaching in CNUSD since 1986, and have taught U.S. history for most of those years. I am very enthusiastic about teaching history – I love sharing all the things I’ve learned over the years and try to impart my love of history to my students. I especially love to share my photos and experiences of the historical places I’ve visited. I also enjoy participating in historical reenactments; I have been lucky to be able to send my students to visit a few that are held annually in our area.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in American Studies at Cal State Fullerton in 1984. I continued at CSUF for my teaching credential, which I received in 1985. I’ve taught history at the junior high and high school levels since I started in the district and have been at Centennial since the school opened in 1989. I decided to go back and get my master’s degree in Educational Technology because I realized there were more ways of reaching my thoroughly modern-minded students. I completed my master’s degree at Azusa Pacific University in the summer of 2012.
