Google Classroom Instructions
Follow the instructions, then use the codes below. You must log in using your student email login for the district, not your personal email account. |

Instructions for setting up your Google Classroom account for CNUSD
1. For mobile devices: Download the “Google Classroom” App onto your smart phone or tablet device.
2. For computers: Go to:
https://classroom.google.com to set this up on your computer.
3. You will need to make a Google account if you haven’t already. To join a school classroom, you will need to use your school email account.
Note: If you have a google account, when you log into google classroom, it may show your personal account. But you need to use your DISTRICT account to log into a school google classroom, so click “Add an account”.

4. Type in your SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS (see below). Click “Next”
Your school email account is your 6-digit student ID number @ cnusd.k12.ca.us (here is an example):
[email protected]
5. If you are using a school computer, you will be taken straight to the next screen. Skip to Step 7.
If you are using your own computer or smart phone, you may see the district login box. Go to Step 6.
6. Enter JUST your STUDENT ID in the first field; enter your password for logging onto school computers in the second.
7. Click “Agree” (to agree to the terms of Google Classroom)
8. Click to open Google Classroom.
9. Click the “+” sign to “Join” a new class.
10. Enter the class code for the correct class period.
Be sure the letters are all lower case. The rest are all numbers (so we don’t confuse letters and numbers that look similar).

Note: if you get a message saying “Invalid Code,” go BACK to Step 3; it means you’ve been trying to log in using your personal email address.
Also it will be helpful to put “Google Drive” on your device and to be able to link to it on your computer.

If you are still having trouble getting into Google Classroom from home, you could try downloading “Google Chrome” – Google’s browser. It will run in that.
