About Ms. Sutton

I am a high school U.S. history teacher who's been at it for 25 years. I am very enthusiastic about teaching history – I love sharing all the things I’ve learned over the years and try to impart my love of history to my students. I especially love to share my photos and experiences of the historical places I’ve visited over the years. I also enjoy participating in historical reenactments; I have been lucky to be able to send my students to visit a few that are held annually in our area.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in American Studies at Cal State Fullerton in 1984. I continued at CSUF for my teaching credential, which I received in 1985. I’ve taught History at the junior high and high school levels for the past 25 years in Corona, California. I decided to go back and get my master’s degree in Educational Technology because I realized there were more ways of reaching my thoroughly modern-minded students. I intend to complete my master’s degree at APU in the summer of 2012.
